Alexander Liang has been The Associate Dean for Academic Affairs of PPM Graduate School of Management since 2003. He has also been a management consultant and an instructor at PPM Institute of Management since 1993. At the Graduate School he teaches Quality Management, Operation Management, Project Management, and Research Methodology. And at PPM Institute of Management he teaches Project Management, ISO 9000, Leadership, 5 S, Operation Management, Rational Problem Solving and Decision Making, and Training Evaluation, and also conducts consulting services in the area of Training Program Development, ISO 9000, Operation Management, and Business Process Improvement.
Prior to joining PPM, He had worked for The Area Development Project, Padang, West Sumatera, as the Head of Design Section since 1983 to 1988. The project was an integrated development project sponsored by the Government of the Republic of Germany. At the same time he was also a guest lecturer in Technical Mechanics in Civil Engineering and Architectural Dept of Bung Hatta University in Padang.
Alexander Liang graduated from Parahyangan Catholic University Bandung in 1983 in the field of Civil Engineering. In 1988 he obtained a scholarship from the Government of the Republic of Germany (GTZ) for a master program in Construction Engineering and Management in Asian Institute of Technology Bangkok, Thailand. He graduated from the Institute 1990 and obtained The John Linen III Prize for the Best Performance Student in the class. In 1990, he also obtained a scholarship from the Government of Japan for a doctoral program in Infrastructure Management in Tokyo University, Japan. He graduated from the university in 1993.
